Whilst looking for reference for a client who wants to incorporate an office into her kitchen, I came across these sublime images. Admittedly not suitable for her kitchen, they are stunning examples.
The top two images by Paul Raff Studio based in Toronto are a delight and combine my love of grey and natural wood, peppered with punchy colour seen on the book spines. Floor to ceiling wall cabinets keep ugly stuff out of site and ensure the room remains clean and chic (apparently there is even a cocktail cabinet in the cupboard)! I wish this was our studio - I'd just add a cappuccino machine next to the cocktail cabinet!
I really love the black oval desk and storage unit. Again, mixed with natural wood, the high gloss finish and curves create a dynamic form. It looks architecturally gorgeous set in this white paneled room with black parquet flooring and Sebastian Wrong's devine Spun floor lamp.
Sleek and simple, the wall hung desk office area is achievable in even the smallest, tightest space.
The last image (a concept drawing) is pure genius. The K Workstation will be made from laminated bamboo into sinuous, curvaceous flowing lines, creating a desk and shelf storage.
