The Italians do it best!

Nestled in the countryside of Morciano di Leuca, Salento, is this absolute gem of a building restored and elegantly brought back to life by architect Luca Zanaroli. The buildings, a clutch of them, some dating back to the eighteenth century, have been connected with adjoining passageways to create a beautifully, stylish home. The soft, putty tones on the walls and the exposed stonework give it a monastic feel and the inclusion of the Panton chairs, Saarinen table and fluid wire pieces emulate and enhance the softness of the gently curvacious walls. I would just love to add a fabulous, rich gilt framed baroque painting here and there and a touch of hot pink to add a shot of colour. Outside, the planting includes lots of succulents (I have such a passion for succulents) which I would also include in some of the rooms. This is a triumph of style and design and I really envy the owner.
