As the keenly awaited Rembrandt exhibition opens today at the National Gallery, here is our new wallcovering, entitled "Serenity".
The portrait is by Rembrandt (Rijksmuseum) and is possibly that of Maria Trip, daughter of a wealthy Amsterdam merchant... or is it? No one knows who she is for certain, and that mystique, combined with her elegant and gentle calmness intrigues me. Her soft, soulful brown eyes and enigmatic smile are completely captivating. We have taken a section of the portrait and focussed on her subtle serenity and overlaid it with multiple layers of delicate lace pattern work.
The wallcovering is printed onto exquisite fabric backed wallpaper and is custom sized to fit individual walls. Cover an entire wall in this design and it will create breathtaking drama to a room.
We can also add the design to our new Tall Boy and Side Table furniture. Wrapping the fabric wallpaper around all sides, the design continues round the furniture, creating stunning views from all angles.
"Serenity" wallcovering and furniture will be available in November.
