I love mirrors. I love them big and sleek with clean, sharp lines. I love them on furniture and as an entire wall feature. They instantly magnify a room, provide interesting vistas, and ultimately, glam up a space!
La Maison hotel in Paris does this in spades. I find the juxtaposition between the sharp mirrored cube and the paneled walls in the foyer utterly sublime. Another room in the hotel has wallpaper made from photocopies of original paneling, with lead crystal chandeliers and long swathes of mirror.
Porada do it brilliantly too! This hallway in the last image looks sensational with mirrored consoles, reflective high sheen tiles and verticle sheets of mirror on the walls.
The key to keeping the elegance and glamour levels at their maximum, is to minimise the amount of colour you add to the room. Glass, crystal, black or white lighting, shades of grey and hints of silver and gold will do the trick effortlessly!

Mmh.. there are just no words to describe how much I like the second picture apart from obviously WOW!! Those WALLS and COLOUR... gosh and FLOOR.. Yip Im hooked. Great post!
