I love this man - a flamboyant dandy, a genius at anything he turns his hand to, a lover of colour, scale, pattern and in all probability, as mad as a March hare... and just look at his studio in the iconic Westerhuis building he owns and designed. This is my idea of a studio heaven. How could you not be inspired in such creative surroundings? Exactly the right mix of colour and crazy pattern on pattern, vast windows flooding the rooms with light, his devine lighting range and tongue in cheek oversized sculpture. The studio is fantastical, surprising, innovative.
"My task is also to spread my creativity around", he says. Some may find arrogance in such a statement. I find absolute confidence, which is so compelling. Carry on spreading, Marcel!
